I charge a rate of $250 (as of 4/08/2025) per hour. This rate applies to all parts of the evaluation:

 

• Record review

• Clinical interview

• Psychological testing

• Test scoring and interpretation

• Report writing

• Trial preparation

• Expert witness testimony

• Case research

• Collateral consultations

• Travel (if a telepsych interview is not an option)

• Etc.

 

While it is unusual, there are certain circumstances where I will negotiate a flat rate for the entire evaluation, as opposed to an hourly rate. Usually, such arrangements are preferred if extensive travel is necessary. 

 

However, I will not agree to payment contingent on the outcome of the evaluation or the case. Such arrangements are forbidden by the American Psychological Association (APA)'s Specialty Guidelines for Forensic Psychology (SGFP). To download a copy, click
