In any forensic/criminal case, it is my policy that I will only be retained by the court, a district attorney’s office, or defense counsel (public defender or private attorney) to conduct evaluations. I will NOT provide services directly to the defendant or the defendant’s family.

 

If you are seeking an evaluation of your client, but your client and/or his/her family will be paying for the evaluation, you are still my client, and I will be sending the final report and invoice to you directly, and request that your office pay the invoice through a client fund. 

 

Obviously, this policy does not apply to clinical cases.
